Florida Power of Attorney Apostille
A power of attorney (POA) apostille allows your attorney-in-fact to legally act on your behalf in a foreign country — for real estate transactions, business dealings, banking, and more. Florida-drafted POAs must be apostilled before they'll be recognized internationally.
What You Need to Prepare
- Signed Power of Attorney document (do not sign until in front of notary)
- Government-issued photo ID for the grantor (and agent if present)
- Two witnesses may be required depending on POA type
- Document must be drafted in compliance with Florida statute §709
